Copper artisans abound throughout the world, however the artisans that have gained a reputation for making sinks have been primarily centered in Mexico. Most of the shops making “hand crafted” copper sinks are small and owned by the artisan’s family. The term “hand hammered” has become synonymous with Mexican artisan copper sinks in recent years. Copper sheets are carefully and patiently hammered by the artisans into shape and hand finished until they get the piece they have in mind.
